Locating the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) or Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APPS)

Locate the Rounded Black Cover

The throttle position sensor is housed within a black cover located on the driver side of the engine bay between the cylinder head and the battery tray. Once this cover is removed the TPS and throttle linkage will be exposed.

Remove 6 Bolts

Once this cover is removed the TPS and throttle linkage will be exposed. In order to access the TPS remove the 6 bolts as shown above. This will release the throttle linkage bracket.

Remove 2 Screws Securing the Sensor

With the throttle linkage bracket unbolted you can access the TPS and remove it by removing the 2 screws as shown above.

When installing the new TPS use a multi-meter & verify the voltage on pin #3 (green wire) reads 0.580-0.670 volts when the throttle is at idle. If not adjust the idle adjustment screw
